Cedar is the most commonly used wood for hot tubs, it has the right thickness to give the tub depth and strength to prevent leakages and is also easily available from any DIY or hardware emporium. Teak and redwood are the only other viable woods on the market that have the right proportions and properties to lend themselves to such a task.
The beauty of having your own DIY wooden hot tub plan is that it can be exactly the dimensions that you wish it to be, no trying to wedge onto into a corner it just won’t go into. I don't understand why you can't get in a hot tub or Jacuzzi. Wouldn't a Hot Tub be like setting in a hot bath? It's so relaxing though : ( WHY!?
