Hot tubs are no doubt a great stress bursting equipments that have become a part of our every day’s life. It is really important to identify every single detail of a tub so that you’ll be able to sort out the problems when they arise and find solutions in less time. If you do not have all the details of your tub, a working knowledge of all the parts will be equally good and beneficial.

A little knowledge of this further helps in maintaining the conditions of the tub so as to make it really useful for a long period of time. Also, if you are going to make an effective purchase, your knowledge will help you to get the most economical and the most useful hot tub spa for your home purpose.

Hot Tub or Spa Part

One of the main parts of any hot tub is its jets, which allows water to freely move in and out of the tub. This freely moving water in the tub facilitates effective massage parts of your body like your feet or your back. Also, the price of a tub increases with inclusion of the number of its jets. So, be careful, decide carefully and buy conveniently.

Second most important to consider in an exercise pool is its shell or the inner surface. Usually thermoplastic or fiberglass is available in tubs to give the best benefits of the warm water. Nowadays, shell comes in different colors and designs.

Third is the cabinet of the hot tub that goes around it and is used for storage of some of the equipment that runs it. The cabinet is usually made of different manmade materials depending on the kind of hot tub that you have.

Next is the seat of the hot tub. You can consult your hot tub dealer if he can guide you to get the best one.

Furthermore, you can check about the cover of the tub to get the best benefits.

By taking care of the above mentioned hot tub essentials, you would be able to buy a really useful tub in most affordable range.

The design of the latest Hot Tubs and Jacuzzi style spas continues to evolve at quite a pace with manufacturers introducing more and more features and ideas in order to catch the public's imagination.
For example having a massage sequencer in your Hot Tub Jacuzzi will allow you to be able to control the placement of Jet Patterns, and their speed so that you can easily pinpoint the area of your body to massage. These massage systems can provide a stair step massage not unlike having your very own personal masseuse to direct which muscles and tendons to massage.
This type of feature is often known as a wave massage system and a seat, which has this feature, is designed to give a full massage to the shoulders, full back, thighs, calves and feet. This lounger seat will usually have many Jets often in excess of some fifty Jets to provide a pulsating wave massage which works its way down your body at one to two rows at a time moving from ones neck right down to ones toes. This lounger seat will probably have something like seven function programmable controls, which will provide seven massage patterns at various variable speeds over your body.
1. Do you want to use your spa just for hydrotherapy and hydro massage and to help relieve the stress and strain of life and provide that much needed solace or do you want to use it for fun and relaxation with your family or is it a combination of these two,
2. When you use the Hot Tub for the majority of the time, how many people will use it, for example, is it just for two or perhaps five to six or more? Obviously, this is a key question in deciding the model that you choose.
3. Will you entertain your friends and family and have guests round to enjoy and share use the spa and if you will, what is the maximum number you will have in your spa at one time?
4. What is the average size and height of the people who will use the Hot Tub are there big differences in height between the shortest and the tallest?
5. How often will the Hot Tub be used perhaps twice a day or just once every day or just two to three times a week?
6. What time during the day or evening will the Hot Tub be used. This will possibly be very different at a weekend or holiday season. ?
7. What approximate budget do you have and here it is good to have a price range so that you can consider a choice of two or three models. Remember of course that it is not just the purchasing the Hot Tub but there is also the cost of delivery and having it installed.
8. How much are you prepared to allow for actually running your spa on a weekly basis after it has been installed? You will need to allow for electricity for the pumps and heater but also there will be some spending on water treatment chemicals and that kind of thing,
9. How much time are you prepared to spend looking after the Hot Tub and keeping the water balance maintained correctly?
10. How much physical space do you have available for the Spa? Bear in mind that you will need to get access for servicing or maintenance.
11. What is the access like to get and place a Hot Tub in your chosen location?
12. Is there good and clear access to all sides of the Hot Tub at your intended position or will some sides be inaccessible, (next to a wall etc. ) or will you wish to sink the Hot Tub into a decked area.
13. If you wish to place the Hot Tub on a roof terrace you need to consider as to whether the terrace is able to take the weight of a filled Jacuzzi and say four adults.
14. Is a crane needed to install the Hot Tub Jacuzzi perhaps on a roof terrace or over a house to get access to the back garden?

The shape of modern Jacuzzi style Spas and Hot Tubs continues to evolve at quite a pace with manufacturers introducing more and more models in order to catch the peoples imagination with increasing Jets & Colours. Some Hot Tubs are square say 2 metres by 2 metres and comparably shallow holding just over some 200 Gallons whilst others are exactly the same size but much deeper holding 300 Gallons. Some hot Tubs are rectangular and indeed any shape is available that the Hot Tub manufactures believe will generate interest in the market place. For example there are octagonal and now deep round shapes. Also there are Swim Spas those that have a dedicated Swimming area with a special Hot Tub Massage area which are now becoming very popular. The original Hot Tubs of years ago were circular and made out of wood like very large beer barrels and today some modern Hot Tubs are produced in that shape also. These round Hot Tubs provide a great deep Tub with plenty of Jets and a great Hydro massage effect. At the same time they are very good for friends and the family to get together and have a chat. Some of the many other things to consider when choosing a Hot Tub are the combination of colours available not only for the shell but also to the cabinet. Some Hot Tub suppliers / manufacturers have quite a limited choice in colours but it is possible to get literally any colour in the shell of a modern Hot Tub. Do you want a flag say the Spanish Flag perhaps or the British Flag perhaps the Irish Flag or the French Tri-Colour through the shell of your very own Hot Tub of course it is all possible today? Perhaps the colours of your favourite football team or indeed a real life example the racing colours of the Kawasaki Motor Bike racing colours. Anything is possible today in the modern market place for the consumer to specify exactly the Hot Tub that they want. Do you want to be able to specify the Jets in your Hot Tub and more than that there location? Yes you can choose the combination and the placing of the Jets in the latest modern Hot Tubs. This gives the consumer the chance to choose exactly what they want and have a Hot Tub custom built for them. No longer is one restricted to the standard ideas made by the manufacturers who are only interested in mass production. Next time you are looking for a Jacuzzi style Spa - Hot Tub why don't you look out for the new round shapes and the very varied colours that are becoming available.
As with all things it pays to buy a good quality product from a leading American or Western manaufacturer one who has been making this product for many decades.

It's so appalling that I can't enjoy my baths and even the scented bath crystals don't mask it! In the same bathroom, there is a shower right next to the tub and I get the same odor when I turn on the water in there. No other bathroom in the house has this smell. Any ideas how to give it a good cleaning and get rid of this awful smell?

There is one bad thing about a lot of hot tubs, and that is the fact that they are just too small. A lot of people think that you do not need large hot tubs, because you are only in…

There is one bad thing about a lot of hot tubs, and that is the fact that they are just too small. A lot of people think that you do not need large hot tubs, because you are only in there for a little bit. However, if you have a lot of guests or you have a big family, large hot tubs is needed! There are a lot of great things that go along with large hot tubs as well, and we are going to cover a few of these features today! In the end, you will see that big hot tubs are a must have. First of all, the best thing about large hot tubs is that they do not cost that much more than a small hot tub. A lot of people think that big hot tubs would cost a lot more, but really, you are just paying for a sightly bigger area to sit in. Whether you get a small one or a big one, you still have to pay for the pumps and all of the other stuff that comes with it. Thus, if you check out prices on big hot tubs compared to small hot tubs, you will notice that the large hot tubs are an overall better buy. It's nice to be able to get more for your money, and it's even better when you can get more for your money on something like a hot tub. Another great thing about large hot tubs is the seats that come with them. You will notice that in other smaller hot tubs and hot tub cover, you only get a seat. However, in large hot tubs, they have a whole area for you to sit in a much more relaxed form, almost like you are leaning back in a recliner. Then they like to put jets in these seats so that you can feel even more relaxed. It may seem like, at first, that these large hot tubs are hard to keep warmed up. However, what you will find, after you get them warmed up the first time is that it really does not take that much power to keep them warm. Thus, if you are afraid that it is going to cost a lot of money to keep a large hot tub running, do not worry. It costs less than you may think. Last, but not least, a large hot tub is just going to be more bang for your bucks. A lot of people, after buying smaller hot tubs, feel like they have kind of wasted some of their money. After all, they find out later that the small hot tubs are not big enough to fit a lot people in. If you are going to have parties at your house or have a lot of family members come over, you are going to find out that the small ones just do not cut it. Really, not getting a large hot tub is just cutting yourself short, and you do not want to do that. They have so many features that make them worth getting, but the overall best thing about them is, of course, their size. Also, the fact that they have a lot of jets is always a plus as well!

Choosing a Hot Tub

by John Lewis

The shape of modern Jacuzzi style Spas and Hot Tubs continues to evolve at quite a pace with manufacturers introducing more and more models in order to catch the publics imagination with increasing Shapes & Colours.

Some Hot Tubs are square say 2 metres by 2 metres and comparably shallow holding just over some 200 Gallons whilst others are exactly the same size but much deeper holding 300 Gallons. This gives one an insight into the purpose of the Hot Tub. The more shallow one with less water capacity would be for semi bouyancy whilst the deeper Hot Tub would produce a much more bouyant sensation. Some would argue for one above the other but we are back to what the consumer actually wants if its a more deeper tub then the choice is obvious equally a more shallow tub may be the one the consumer wants. Possibly the more deeper Hot Tub may be better value but it is I think pretty marginal.

Some hot Tubs are rectangular and indeed any shape is available that the Hot Tub manufactures believe will generate interest in the market place. For example there are octagonal and now deep round shapes. Also there are Swim Spas those Jacuuzi Style Hot Tubs that have a dedicated Swimming area with a special Hot Tub Massage area. These are now becoming very popular.

The choice of Jets is also expanding considerably with some manufacturers offering the ability for the consumer to be able to choose the positioning and type of Jets in certain models. This means that it is now possible to have a custom Hot Tub made for you.

Do you want a flag say the Spanish Flag perhaps,or the British Flag or the Irish Flag or the French Tri-Colour through the shell of your very own Hot Tub of course it is all possible today? Perhaps the colours of your favourite football team or indeed a real life example the racing colours of the Kawasaki Motor Bike racing colours !!!

I am looking to purchase a house with an outdoor unprotected hot tub in an area with severe winters. Do I change the water? Is it expensive to keep it heated?
What are pitfalls?
This house also has only one bathroom which contains a whirlpool bath and I like bath oil. Do I just make sure the jets are off when using bath oil? Or are my bath oil and bubble baths over?
Thanks.
